How to Apply
M.A. and Postgraduate Certificate in Coptic Studies
- If you are an Australian student and wish to enrol in the M.A. or Postgraduate Certificate in Coptic Studies, you need to apply to the University Admissions Centre (UAC).

Coptic Studies options for undergraduate students
- If you are an undergraduate student at Macquarie or another Australian university and wish to take one or more Coptic Studies units, you have a number of options, depending on the nature of your degree. You need not be enrolled in a history degree to be able to study Coptic

Coptic Studies options for a general audience (Non-award study)
- If you just wish to take one or two subjects out of the Coptic Studies program you would apply to the Centre for Open Education and enrol in Non-award study. You will get the same materials and do the same work as students enrolled in a degree, and if you later decide to change into a degree program, it is possible to transfer your credit.

- If you are an international student and wish to study online from your own home in the M.A. in Coptic Studies or the Postgraduate Certificate, you will apply to Macquarie International.

Coptic Studies options for research students
- The staff in the Coptic Studies program at Macquarie has research interests in various areas of Graeco-Roman and Byzantine Egypt including history and religious history, monasticism and Coptic literature and is available to supervise research theses including Ph.D. dissertations.
